Our Origin Story

Originally named Grand River Building Supplies, our store opened its doors in 1985 in Caledonia, founded by Laird and Les McKeen, Eddy Davies, and Keith Saunders. Starting as a humble family business, over the years we’ve grown and undergone several transformations, most notably adopting our current name, Caledonia TIMBER MART.

As Caledonia and the surrounding areas expanded, it became clear that our services were needed in more places. In response, we opened a second store in Jarvis, Ontario, in 2005. This new store allowed us to bring our quality building supplies and convenient service to even more customers.

Today, Laird McKeen, one of our founding members, oversees our Caledonia and Jarvis locations alongside his two sons. Luke manages the Jarvis TIMBER MART, upholding our tradition of family values and top-notch service.
